This educational showcase is an exciting addition to the Eisenhower collection, where you can explore the extraordinary life and legacy of the only 5-star General who became President of the United States.
Come see the rare artifacts and historic photographs that give you an exclusive look into life along the Chisholm Trail, a topic that Eisenhower had a special fondness for throughout his life. Celebrating the trail's sesquicentennial, the exhibition invites guests to learn the origins of the cowboy boot, and how the phrase “real McCoy” became a familiar phrase in American lexicon. Legendary stories behind near mythical figures like Wild Bill Hickok will be featured in the show, giving you a one-of-a-kind glimpse into the past.
